RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM HIP POUCH LOCATIONS

Every Resident Evil Requiem hip pouch location on one file — the three pickups every guide agrees on, the late-game containers where the count splits four against five, and Leon's separate upgrade. Cited throughout; no total guessed.

Grace's hip pouches each add two inventory slots on pickup (Polygon; GameSpot). Three locations are settled across every guide checked: Parlor (3 coins), Filing Room (wristband door), Processing (forklift). Repository 05 is where the ledger splits: GameSpot and Polygon total four pouches, DualShockers totals five. Leon's expansion is separate — a 4,000-credit supply-box case upgrade to an 8×13 grid (Polygon).

Unless a single outlet is named, claims are consensus across the five credited guides, all accessed October 26, 2026. Pouches are Grace's pickups; Leon never carries one.

SECTION 01

01How Inventory Upgrades Work — Grace Finds, Leon Buys

Requiem splits capacity growth by protagonist. Grace's hip pouches are world pickups — each widens her inventory by two slots on collection (Polygon; GameSpot). Leon's equivalent is never found; it is bought through the supply box as a case upgrade (Polygon).

Whichever protagonist you run, one rule holds: capacity in Requiem is planned, not stumbled into. Our beginner's guide explains why the 3-coin Hip Pouch sits first on the Parlor purchase order — route order beats any single pickup.

SECTION 02

02Pouch #1 — The Parlor, 3 Coins and a Ruby Door

The campaign's first inventory upgrade sits behind glass in the Parlor: the Hip Pouch, priced at 3 antique coins (Polygon; TheGamer). The cabinet takes a ruby before it takes coins — the silver box in the Chairman's Office yields one, the ruby opens the display case, and the coins close the deal (TheGamer; Polygon).

The climb is shorter than it looks: the safes alone hand you 6 coins across the Bar & Lounge and Examination Room dials — the cabinet's price. The common failure is ordering: a runner arrives with 2 coins and two unopened safes behind. Open the dials first, then pay.

SECTION 03

03Pouch #2 — The Filing Room Closet, Level 1 Wristband

Second on the route is a storage closet in the Filing Room, behind a door that checks for a Level 1 ID Wristband. If the reader rejects your wristband, your run order is behind — not the guide. Step through, open the closet, bank two slots.

The closet keeps strange company: both DualShockers and games.gg flag a warped wardrobe beside it — Leon's problem to open, on his side of the campaign. That wardrobe earns its own file, unwritten until verified. This page sticks to the pouch.

SECTION 04

04Pouch #3 — Processing, the Forklift, a Room That Isn't There Yet

The basement's Processing area hides the third pouch behind the campaign's most industrial favour: take the Forklift Key, take the seat, move the container, and a small room opens where a wall used to be. Inside: the pouch, and the facility map — its own argument for the detour.

ROUTE CHECK

Nothing forces the forklift sequence — the basement ends cleanly with or without your driving. Run it before you leave the floor: backtracking rules are not documented in any source we checked, and an unopened room is a poor thing to spend a run wondering about.

The same forklift sequence fronts the basement's locked Inspection Room — one of five simple locks mapped on our lockpick and lock locations guide.

SECTION 05

05Pouch #4 — and #5? The Repository 05 Count Dispute

The last stop is Bioweapon Repository 05 in ARK — late-game ground, and the only place the guides disagree. The location specifics sit behind the fold; the dispute stays out here, because the conflict is the story.

Late-game spoiler: Repository 05 — containers, noise and the disputed pouches

Repository 05 is an ARK storage floor reached in the campaign's final stretch, and its pouches are sealed inside Umbrella shipping containers. Press a container's white button and it unlatches — loudly, drawing nearby Lickers per GameSpot's gallery. Arrive with your ammunition decisions already made.

The count is where the sources split: GameSpot and Polygon place one pouch here — their fourth and last. DualShockers places two — its fourth and fifth — and calls that fifth one the last hip pouch in the game. The route advice holds under either count: before you leave Repository 05, unlatch every sealed container on the floor. If the total is four, the sweep costs you seconds; if it is five, the sweep is two slots you keep for the rest of the campaign.

The count, on the record

Three professional outlets, one game, two answers. GameSpot's gallery (February 26, 2026) and Polygon's inventory guide (February 27, 2026) both print a total of four — Parlor, Filing Room, Processing, Repository 05. DualShockers, published the same day, numbers its list to five, splitting Repository 05 into a fourth and a fifth and closing on the claim that its fifth pouch is the game's final one (DualShockers).

File the practical case: two runners, one gallery apart. One sweeps the containers anyway and keeps every slot; the other trusts the count and leaves one sealed — if DualShockers is right, that seal held two slots hostage. The sweep is the only move that wins under both counts.

And the reason this page prints both numbers: neither camp retracts the other — no patch note or developer statement settled the score while this file was checked. Where credible sources conflict, we print both, flag the conflict and hand you the tie-breaker routine; we do not adopt one number silently and call it verified. The ledger for this page lives on the corrections record.

SECTION 06

06Do Hip Pouches Carry Over to New Game Plus?

No. Polygon is explicit: hip pouches reset between playthroughs, and each run re-collects them from the same spots. Treat that as a budgeting instruction — the Parlor's 3 antique coins belong in every run's budget, because the ruby door and the coin route come back around each time.

What does persist between runs, and what Insanity changes about inheritance, is a separate account. Our Insanity guide keeps the record of what carries between difficulties; this file only certifies that the pouches themselves do not.

SECTION 07

07Why Hip Pouches Aren't One of the 139 Collectibles

Our collectibles file carries a standing clarification: hip pouches are not one of the six tracked sets — PowerPyx's 139-item checklist has no pouch line, and that page explains why the six tracked sets don't include pouches. It carried a promise too: no count printed until verifiable.

This file is that promise's payment. Five professional guides went in, three locations came out settled, and the one number that would not settle is printed both ways above. The ledgers stay separate: pouches sit outside the 139, so stocking up on slots neither counts toward nor disturbs a completion file. Inventory is survival equipment, not paperwork.

CLOSE OF FILE

08The Route, In Short

Three pickups are settled: the Parlor cabinet behind its ruby door at 3 antique coins, the Filing Room closet behind the Level 1 ID Wristband, and the Processing room the forklift opens in the basement. The fourth waits in a sealed Umbrella container in Repository 05 — and whether a fifth shares the floor is the question this archive answers by sweeping every container rather than betting on a tally. Leon buys his way to 8×13 for 4,000 credits, and nobody's pouches survive into NG+.

Carry the route into your next run, then file the rest: every Resident Evil Requiem guide in one place lives on the hub, and the collectibles checklist tracks everything this page deliberately does not.

QUICK ANSWERS

09Resident Evil Requiem Hip Pouch FAQ

How many hip pouches are in Resident Evil Requiem?

Depends who counted. GameSpot and Polygon both print four hip pouches: the Parlor cabinet, the Filing Room closet, the Processing room and one sealed Umbrella container in the Bioweapon Repository 05 (ARK). DualShockers walks the same route to five, splitting Repository 05 into two containers and calling its fifth pouch the last hip pouch in the game. Every source agrees on the first three, so the safe play is to unlatch every sealed container in Repository 05 before you leave the area (GameSpot; Polygon; DualShockers).

How much inventory space does a hip pouch add?

Two slots, every time. Each hip pouch expands Grace's inventory by two slots the moment it is collected (Polygon; GameSpot). The three agreed pouches are therefore six slots before the disputed containers even enter the ledger.

How does Leon get more inventory space in Resident Evil Requiem?

Leon never collects hip pouches — they are Grace's pickups alone. His expansion is bought from the supply box: a case upgrade costing 4,000 credits that widens his attaché to an 8×13 grid (Polygon).

Do hip pouches carry over to New Game Plus?

No. Polygon is explicit that hip pouches reset between playthroughs, and each run re-collects them from the same spots. Budget the Parlor's 3 antique coins into every completion run instead of assuming last run's pouches will persist.

Can you miss a hip pouch in Resident Evil Requiem?

No source we checked documents a hip pouch as permanently missable, but two sit behind gates — the Filing Room's wristband door and the forklift sequence — and the rest wait in a late-game ARK area with no chapter select to return through. Treat pouches as route checks on each floor, not afterthoughts.
