FIELD MANUAL — SAFE CODES
RESIDENT EVIL REQUIEM SAFE CODES — ALL 5
Every Resident Evil Requiem safe code on one table — both difficulties, every dial direction, every reward — with the one disputed combination printed both ways instead of guessed at. We summarise and attribute; the full routes live with the guide publishers we credit.
| Safe | Location | Normal (Casual/Standard) | Insanity | Reward |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Bar & Lounge | Care Center, West Wing | L 10 · R 80 · L 30 | R 20 · L 50 · R 30 | 3 antique coins |
| 2. Examination Room | Care Center | R 30 · L 10 · R 50 | L 50 · R 30 · L 90 | 3 antique coins |
| 3. Furnace | Care Center Basement | R 60 · L 40 · R 80 | L 70 · R 50 · L 20 | 10 handgun ammo + Rhodes Hill Raccoon Roundup Map |
| 4. Sterilization Chamber | ARK | R 10 · L 90 · R 20 | L 80 · R 50 · L 0 | Molotov cocktail, handgun ammo & a med injector |
| 5. Monitor Control Room * | ARK | R 50 · L 60 · R 80 * | R 20 · L 0 · R 70 | Bottle of acid, an empty bottle & a med injector |
There are five safes in Resident Evil Requiem and every safe code changes on Insanity. Normal-mode codes: Bar & Lounge L 10 · R 80 · L 30, Examination Room R 30 · L 10 · R 50, Furnace R 60 · L 40 · R 80, Sterilization Chamber R 10 · L 90 · R 20, Monitor Control Room R 50 · L 60 · R 80 (disputed).
"Normal" here is the in-game Casual / Standard label. L = left, R = right. Combinations cross-checked across IGN (Safe Codes Guide, updated March 11, 2026), Polygon and GodisaGeek. * See the Safe #5 dispute below — one number pair is contested.
SECTION 01
01Safe Codes at a Glance — the Rules That Hold on Every Difficulty
Before the safe-by-safe breakdown, four facts that save you time on any run:
- Codes are fixed, not randomized. Difficulty is the only variable (IGN).
- All five codes change on Insanity. Not one, not two — all five (IGN, Polygon, GodisaGeek).
- Only Grace can open safes. Leon's segments never put you in front of a dial.
- Opening all five unlocks the No Safe is Safe trophy. A sixth safe — the Waiting Room safe on Rhodes Hill — is already open when you arrive (bureaucratic shenanigans, per IGN) and holds 2 antique coins on Standard. It does not count toward the trophy.
SECTION 02
02Rhodes Hill Care Center Safes
Rhodes Hill is the densest hub in the game, and three of the five locked safes sit inside it. If you are planning a 100% run, this is the floor where most people lose track — check a full collectibles checklist before you leave the area, because there is no chapter select to come back with.
Safe #1 — Bar & Lounge (Care Center, West Wing)
Casual/Standard: L 10 · R 80 · L 30. Insanity: R 20 · L 50 · R 30.
Reward: 3 antique coins — a third of the way to the Hip Pouch in the Parlor, which costs 3 coins and should be your first purchase anyway (Polygon, IGN).
Safe #2 — Examination Room (Care Center)
Casual/Standard: R 30 · L 10 · R 50. Insanity: L 50 · R 30 · L 90.
Reward: another 3 antique coins. Between the Bar & Lounge and Examination Room safes, the Care Center hands you 6 coins before you have ever touched a dial puzzle — don't leave the wing without both.
Safe #3 — Furnace Safe (Care Center Basement)
Casual/Standard: R 60 · L 40 · R 80. Insanity: L 70 · R 50 · L 20.
Reward: 10 handgun ammo plus the Rhodes Hill Raccoon Roundup Map — the map that marks the Mr. Raccoon Memoriam statues in this hub. That makes the Furnace safe the only one whose reward feeds a second collectible set, and the one to open before you comb the area. The full Mr. Raccoon statue list in our collectibles guide picks up from there.
SECTION 03
03ARK Safes & the Disputed Code
The two endgame safes sit in ARK, where the file list closes out and the last statues fall. Their rewards stop being money and start being survival tools.
Safe #4 — Sterilization Chamber (ARK)
Casual/Standard: R 10 · L 90 · R 20. Insanity: L 80 · R 50 · L 0.
Reward: a Molotov cocktail, handgun ammo and a med injector. Note the L 0 in the Insanity code — a zero means you settle the dial at 0 with no counting past it, on any safe that shows one.
Safe #5 — Monitor Control Room (ARK) — the One Disputed Code
Insanity: R 20 · L 0 · R 70 — agreed by every source checked, no asterisk.
Casual/Standard is where the sources disagree. IGN lists R 50 · L 60 · R 80. GamerLume, Beebom and NeonLightsMedia all publish the mirrored L 50 · R 60 · L 80 — the same three numbers with the directions flipped. One side transcribed the dial backwards; neither explains the difference, so we print both rather than adopt one silently. RE9 (Resident Evil 9) players hunting a single dial combination will find both directions above.
Try IGN's sequence first, and if the last dial refuses to open the door, run the mirror. Checking costs nothing. The Insanity code above is safe to use as printed.
SECTION 04
04How the Requiem Safe Dial Works & Non-Safe Locks
Every safe in Requiem is a three-number combination lock. L means spin the dial left to that number, R means right. Take Safe #1 on Casual/Standard — L 10 · R 80 · L 30 — as left to 10, right to 80, left to 30, then confirm. There is no brute-force penalty documented in any source we checked, but there is also no reason to guess when the code is printed above.
Not every lock in Requiem is a safe, and the puzzle locks behave differently from the dials: their solutions never change, on Casual, Standard or Insanity (IGN).
The remaining locks — five drawers and lockers opened by a consumed lockpick — are a third system: every one mapped in our lockpicks guide.
| Lock | Solution | Varies by difficulty? |
|---|---|---|
| STARS Office briefcase | R · R · R | No |
| Chairman's Office | Moon · Sun · Star · Moon | No |
| Lead Researcher's Office | Star · Sun · Moon · Sun | No |
Learn that distinction early: on Insanity, distrust every dial and trust every symbol puzzle.
SECTION 05
05Insanity Safe Codes — What Actually Changes
Three things matter if you are stepping up to Insanity:
- All five dial codes swap, as tabled above and in our full Insanity difficulty guide.
- The files that reveal the codes stay put. IGN confirms the in-game documents still sit where they do on Casual/Standard — so the code-hunting loop is intact; only the numbers change.
- Puzzle solutions change and items relocate. The symbol locks above are the exception, not the rule. Do not reuse a first-run mental map on Insanity — including the antique coin spawns, which differ from the standard route.
QUICK ANSWERS
06Safe Code FAQ
How many safes are in Resident Evil Requiem?
Five locked safes — three in the Rhodes Hill Care Center, two in ARK. A sixth, the Waiting Room safe, is already open when you find it and holds 2 antique coins on Standard; it does not count toward No Safe is Safe (IGN).
Are Resident Evil Requiem safe codes randomized?
No. The five combinations are fixed; difficulty is the only variable. Every code changes between Casual/Standard and Insanity, and the non-safe puzzle locks never change at all (IGN).
Do I need the code file before a safe will open?
The codes are revealed by in-game files, and those files stay in place on Insanity (IGN). What our verified sources do not state is whether the dial accepts a correct code before you have found its file — so we won't claim it either way. If you have the code from the table above, try the dial.
What is the Monitor Control Room safe code?
On Casual/Standard, IGN lists R 50 · L 60 · R 80; GamerLume, Beebom and NeonLightsMedia publish the mirrored L 50 · R 60 · L 80. Try IGN's sequence first and fall back to the mirror. On Insanity it is R 20 · L 0 · R 70 — agreed by every source checked.
Do safes carry over between playthroughs?
The No Safe is Safe trophy tracks the five locked safes in your run. On a completion push, safe rewards like the antique coins feed upgrades with no trophy attached — the collectibles guide breaks down which sets actually carry across playthroughs.
